Guangzhou & Foshan

　　Foshan is close to Guangzhou and considers its link with Guangzhou very important. A Guangzhou-Foshan metropolitan region is being formed. The town of Foshan is many centuries old, and was famous for its paper-cut handicrafts and pottery making.

　　Now, the third largest city in Guangdong, Foshan has recently seen a transformation brought by the booming economy in China. Foshan is also famous for its martial arts, being the hometown for legendary martial art master and healer – Wong Feihong.

Itinerary

Day 1 Shanghai-Guangzhou (L)

This morning, take the flight from Shanghai to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, visit Yuexiu Park and the famous Five-goat Statue, which is considered as the symbol of Guangzhou. Then continue to visit Tomb of the King of South Yue (2100 years old). Then Check-in at 4 star Ocean Hotel.

Day 2 Guangzhou-Foshan-Guangzhou (B/L)

After breakfast, drive to Foshan (30 mins), visit Foshan Ancestral Temple, regarded as the “Palace of Oriental Folk Art”, which is renowned for its exquisite decoration style and vivid carvings. Visit the Memorial Hall of Wong Feihung(1847-1924), who is a famous legendary Kungfu master.

After lunch, continue to visit Old Furnace, get to know the living conditions of Cantonese. Visit the Paper-cutting Studio where local handicrafts art is introduced.

Then drive back to Guangzhou. Stay in 4 star Ocean Hotel.

Day 3 Guangzhou-Shanghai (B/L)

In the morning, visit Ancestral Temple of Family Chen, a building group renowned for its exquisite decoration and grand size. Then visit Six Banyan Trees Temple, built in South Song Dynasty (420A.D.-479 A.D.), well-known for its outstanding pagoda, flourished plants and cultural heritages.

After lunch, you are free on the commercial street in Guangzhou.

Then drive to the airport for the departure flight.
