Day 1 Shanghai/Jixi County Overnight on train
Late in this afternoon, departure from Shanghai to Jixi County by night train. Overnight on the train (Soft berth).
Day 2 Jixi County/Ancient Merchant Road hiking. Stay in Local Village Inn (D)
Upon arrival at Jixi County, the local English-speaking guide will pick you up from the Jixi Railway Station.
Then drive to the Yuchuan and start our hiking tour. We will walk along the ancient merchant road, passing by the No.1 Gate of South of Yangtze River, Lower Xuetang, Upper Xuetang, Blue Sky Hollow, Qingliang peak, Ronglai village. On the way, besides the fascinating landscapes, we can see some well-preserved houses with hundreds years as well as the friendly farmers. Further more, the steep and rugged pathway is also a good way to release the working pressure and recharge yourself.
Lunch on the way. ( Food taken by your own).
Check-in at the village inn.
Dinner at the local family.
Tonight, upon the weather conditions, we will participate in the interesting campfire activities (on clear night, group size over 5 pax) or the meaningful local family-visiting, get to know the legends and sagas of the village and the renowned ancient merchant road.
Day 3 Qingliang Peak/ Huangshan City/Shanghai (B/L/D)
This morning, you can get up a little late. After breakfast, we will leave the picturesque village, get down the mountain from another way and reach the assembling site. Then, we will head for the downtown of Huangshan city.
Lunch in the village on the hiking way.
You are free to explore on the Tunxi ancient street which had prospered since Song dynasty. Now, it is famous for its traditional old buildings, antique, craft shops and souvenir stores. You will have time to travel and explore on the street.
Farewell dinner in the city.
After dinner, drive to the Huangshan Railway Station. Return by train and arrive at the Shanghai on the next morning.
