He Garden
He Garden is the best one among all the gardens in Yang zhou. Its 1500-meter double-path corridor has been called by the experts as the embryonic form of the modern interchange, and therefore wins the fame of “The Corridor Tops Those elsewhere in the World” and “One corridor runs through the whole South China”. In He Garden, there is Shuixin Pavilion which is called as the model of China‘s opera pavilion. Shijin Sculpture Window has full sentiments and graceful style, and deserves the title of the No.1 Window in the world. The “Number One Mountain in the world” of Rockery formed by pieces of stones is “the only existing copy” of the painting about piled stones by Monk Shitao, a great painting master in the Qing Dynasty.

As an important cultural heritage under the national protection, He garden is listed as a national AAAA scenic zone. It was the large private garden of He Zhi Tao. He was the governor of Hubei province and established Jixiao Villa after his retirement in Yangzhou.
