Ge Garden
As an important cultural heritage under the national-level protection, it is listed as one of the top four famous gardens in China and a national AAAA scenic spot.
Ge Garden is built on the basis of the Shouzhi Garden of the Ming dynasty by Huang Zhi jun, the head of salt business department governing the Huai River area during the Reign of Jiaqing in the Qing dynasty. It is named after for outlook of bamboo leaves which is similar with the character ”个’ in Chinese. Ge Garden mainly consists of bamboos and rockeries and features its separated piled rockeries. Among all the most famous rockeries is the Four Seasons Rockery. Each season will bring you a distinct garden view.
This garden may be not so hot as Suzhou gardens to visitors, but it is also famous garden in China which is deserved to visit if you come to Yangzhou for holiday.
