Bai Di Causeway

With length of 1 km, Bai Causeway was named after the great poet governor Bai Juyi. In 822 A.D., he had the lake dredged and built a causeway when he was the governor of Hangzhou.

On the Bai Causeway, peach and willow trees are planted alternately. In spring, the willow trees are turning green while the peach trees are in pink blossoms. However, in winter, the causeway will be a hot spot for its beautiful scene. Melting Snow Scene on the Broken Bridge, the TOP 10 Views in the West Lake is concerned with Bai Causeway.
