 China Pavilion lies in the core of EXPO 2010 planning area. As the highest building in the EXPO park in Pudong, it consists of National Hall, Regional Hall and HK/Macao/Taiwan Hall. Its construction idea comes from the oriental crown, implying the spirit and nature of Chinese culture. Its designing idea can be summarized as “the oriental crown, prosperity of China, the barn for the world and the wealth of the ordinary people”. The location and direction of National Hall and Regional Hall indicate the comprehension of heaven and earth in oriental philosophy.
The theme of National hall is “China’s wisdom in the development of city”. Based on the splendid Chinese culture, the development of city in China has its own features and forms the special values and ways of China. It is no doubt that China’s wisdom widely spreads city’s constructions.
