Yellow Crane Tower
Yellow Crane Tower is a famous and historic tower that stands on Sheshan Hill, at the bank of Yangtze River in Wuhan. It is considered as one of the Four Great Towers in the South of Yangtze River.
Yellow Crane Tower was firstly built in 223 A.D. of Three Kingdoms Period for military purposes. During its long history, the tower was rebuilt for many times for the damage caused by fire or war. Gradually, it became a famous resort. The tower has 5 floors with a height of 50.4 meters. The whole building features the typical Chinese style. Inside the building, each floor has different theme which is famous for the finest art works inclusive of Chinese paintings, calligraphy and sculptures. If you clime up to the tower, you can get an exciting panorama view of Yangtze River. Besides, close to the tower, there are many historic relics inclusive of pagoda, stele corridor.
Now, Yellow Crane Tower has been inscribed as National AAAAA Class Scenic Area. It is famous both at home and abroad.
