Longhua Temple

 

The history of Longhua Temple can date back to 977 A.D. in the Song dynasty. Many of the buildings were built in Guangxu reign of Qing dynasty (1871-1908), and the whole site was renovated in 1954. It covers an area of 20,000 sq. m. inclusive of five main halls, a bell tower and a drum tower. Nowadays, the grounds bustle with monks and the faithful visitors as well as crowds of tourists.
