Locating at the southeast bank of Gulangyu Island, the garden was built in 1931. It was the original private garden of the rich family Lin.

    The garden sits at rocks on its back and faces to sea. The whole garden is separated into 2 parts inclusive of Canghai Garden and Bushan Garden. The former owner was dedicated to the design of the garden, creating an infinitive area based on the traditional gardening skills. It was considered as the perfect combination of the private garden and sea.
