Fan Li Lake
Fanli Lake, a famous site concerned with a beautiful story happened 2,500 years ago, lies in south of Jiaxing city. At present, Fanli Lake is 100 meters long, 15 meters wide with an area of 5,351 sq. m.
It is said that Xishi, one of the top four beautiful ladies in ancient China, and the Chief General Fanli left the capital of Yue state together after they succeeded in defeating their enemy country. Finally, they led a simple, common and happy life near the lake. In honor of them, local people named the lake as Fanli Lake and built a dressing table for Xishi near the lake.
