Apakhoja Mausoleum

    Apakhoja mausoleum stands about 5 km east of Kashgar City. The height of main structure for the mausoleum is 26 meters, whose roof looks like a dome with the diameter of 17 meters and without beams to support. The legend goes that a lady called Yiparhan of Hojia`s descendants was once an imperial concubine of Qianlong Emperor. She was commonly-known as a "Fragrant Concubine". Therefore the structure is also called "Fragrant Concubine Tomb" by the locals.
